Choosing a surgeon for this nose surgery may be challenging because rhinoplasty is the domain of the plastic surgeon to fix the outer or aesthetic portion of the nose, whereas the inside of the nose, the septum, and sinus surgery are the domain of ENT surgeons or otolaryngology, head and neck surgeons.
A board-certified surgeon qualified in both disciplines is the most reliable approach to find a good surgeon who is capable of performing all of these procedures. Therefore, he would be board-certified in both plastic surgery and otolaryngology or ENT surgery.
Fortunately, I've been trained in both, but you should inquire about board-certification in each of these specialties to ensure that the surgeon can operate on these three (Rhinoplasty, Septum, Sinus) parts of the nose. We are proud to serve patients from across the nation and the Greater Atlanta area, including:
Alpharetta
Brookhaven
Cumming
Decatur
Dunwoody
Johns Creek
Marietta
Peachtree City

What is a Rhinoplasty?
Q What is a Rhinoplasty?
A
Rhinoplasty is a form of cosmetic surgery that is typically done to reshape and reconstruct the nose. Common transformations include reshaping the tip of the nose, widening or narrowing the nose bridge, and altering the size and shape of the nostrils. Rhinoplasty surgery should only be done by a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience. Like any surgical procedure, a well-done rhinoplasty involves skill, experience, and attention to detail to produce the best possible results. There are no visible scars after a rhinoplasty. All sculpting and reshaping of the bone and cartilage take place inside of the nose. It is normal to have pain postoperatively, but you will be prescribed pain medications to help you during the immediate healing period.
Who Can Benefit From a Rhinoplasty?
Q Who Can Benefit From a Rhinoplasty?
A
People often consider getting a rhinoplasty for different reasons. Aesthetics and a sense of self-consciousness are a common and completely valid reason to have a rhinoplasty done - looking and feeling your best is always important! Additionally, some people undergo rhinoplasty to help correct breathing injuries resulting from nose trauma and injury.

During your consultation appointment, Dr. Sinha will go over any health and safety concerns that will determine if you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. Some common traits of a good rhinoplasty candidate include:
- Your face is no longer growing (your nose will not change anymore)
- You are physically healthy
- You do not smoke
- You have realistic goals for your health and cosmetic outcome of the surgery
NEW 3D IMAGING WITH CRISALIX
Q NEW 3D IMAGING WITH CRISALIX
A
The Atlanta Institute for Facial Aesthetic Surgery is proud to have teamed up with Crisalix — the latest 3D medical imaging system designed to help patients visualize their cosmetic goals before undergoing surgery. This new, groundbreaking technology allows patients to generate a digital image of their desired appearance through a 3D simulator, which can be accessed through the Crisalix app (available for both iOS and Android).
Patients can simply capture a 3D image using their smartphone and then upload it to the app — where they can then make modifications to a 3D "avatar" generated to mimic their facial structure and appearance. With the assistance of our clinic, any proposed surgeries or desired facial changes can be simulated on the patient's 3D image before they take place in-person.
In response to COVID-19, we are committed to ensuring the safety of both our patients and staff in all areas of our practice. With the help of Crisalix, the Atlanta Institute for Facial Aesthetic Surgery now provides fully visual, fully online-based rhinoplasty consultations that are 100% contactless, safe and risk-free.
What is a Rhinoplasty Consultation with Dr. Sinha Like?
Q What is a Rhinoplasty Consultation with Dr. Sinha Like?
A
The consultation is the most important step of the rhinoplasty process. It's the time that the patient and surgeon can get on the same page about what the patient wants - and what is possible.
The goal of the consultation appointment is to come to an agreement and set a plan for the upcoming surgery. Want to help out Dr. Sinha during your consultation? Bring in photos! This is a great way to get everyone in sync with your preferences for the surgery outcomes.
During your appointment, 2D and 3D imaging may also be done to help visualize the final results of the surgery. State-of-the-art VECTRA 3D imaging software is used to impose the possible new nose onto an image of the patient's face, so they can see what they may look like post-surgery before they even have it!
How Is A Rhinoplasty Surgery Performed?
Q How Is A Rhinoplasty Surgery Performed?
A
At the Atlanta Institute for Facial and Aesthetic Surgery, all rhinoplasty surgeries are performed by Dr. Pradeep Sinha in our on-site facilities. State Licensed, Medicare Certified, AAAHC Accredited, our Ambulatory Surgery Center has been specifically designed to provide nasal surgery.
Equipped with the latest advancements in medical instruments, our boutique Surgery Center caters to one patient at the time, ensuring a private, safe, and rewarding nasal surgery experience.
With a team of world-class medical professionals, including Board Certified MD Anesthesiologists, we offer the type of personalized experience impossible to get in a hospital environment. In addition to being less expensive than hospital based facilities for cosmetic procedures, we also offer the ability to further bring costs down through medical insurance if procedures to improve functional breathing are required.
Rhinoplasty surgery is performed utilizing concealed incisions inside the nose. In some cases, a small "w-shaped" incision is made in the skin of the columella (the structure between your nostrils) to "release the latch" holding nasal skin down so nasal cartilages can be approached more directly . For other rhinoplasty patients, an incision is made at the base of the alae, where the nostrils attach to the face if there is a need to address overly flared nostrils. In either case, the bone and cartilage that determine the shape of the nose are carefully sculpted to give the intended result—an ideally-shaped, optimally-functional nose.
A Focus on structure and anatomy.
Dr. Sinha puts an emphasis on creating structurally perfect noses that look flawless, every time. His reputation as a "mechanical engineer" stems from his unparalleled understanding of the nose's structure and mechanisms. When altering nasal structures to achieve desired shape, structures are by definition, made weaker due to movement or cuts. If not addressed, this can lead to collapses that affect form and function.
Recognizing this, time and effort are made to reinforce critical support beams and arches during surgery. Dr. Sinha's unique approach means patients can expect a nose that not only works perfectly and looks beautiful and natural but just as importantly, is built to be stronger than it was before and last a lifetime.

Our office is fully equipped with an on-site mobile operating room. Everything you would find in a regular hospital operating room is found in our office - and all of our staff are certified and qualified to assist with surgery. This allows for a private and boutique experience - you will be the only patient in the office, allowing our staff to focus solely on your needs.
Will I need to take time off work?
Q Will I need to take time off work?
A
Yes. It's usually recommended that you take up to 2 weeks off work so you're able to recover properly and allow the nose enough to heal to where it is not obvious that surgery was done. Patients that are not required to be in public (or don't mind) can actually return to work or school even sooner.

in Performing Rhinoplasty?
Q What are Dr. Sinha’s Credentials and Experience
in Performing Rhinoplasty?
A
Dr. Sinha is a double board-certified surgeon in both plastic surgery and ENT (ear, nose, and throat). He has performed over 3000 rhinoplasties and over 10,000 plastic surgery and ENT surgeries during his successful career.
Dr. Sinha Has Performed Over 10,000 Nasal Procedures
A rhinoplasty is one of the most popular cosmetic plastic surgery procedures performed today. However, it's also one of the most complicated cosmetic procedures to master.
The nose is composed of nine different cartilage and bone structures interlocked together, forming a complex structure. For optimal results, the surgeon must operate with the utmost precision, to preserve the nose's delicate balance. The difference between a good and bad result may be a millimeter.
What Is Rhinoplasty Recovery Like?
Q What Is Rhinoplasty Recovery Like?
A
After the surgery is completed, it is essential that the patient and caregivers understand what to expect for short-term and long-term healing.
Most patients go home with a white splint outside the nose to stabilize the bone and cartilage. A silicone splint may also be present inside the nose. It is common for patients to be tired and "out of it" on their way home from the surgery as the anesthetic medications wear off.
Once the medications wear off, it is normal to feel discomfort. Pain medications will be prescribed to help with the pain. It is important to note - it is normal for the worst day of pain and discomfort to be the second day after surgery! This is due to the body's delayed inflammatory response, which takes up to 72 hours to fully occur. Swelling, bruising, and pain start to reduce on the third and fourth day after surgery.
You will need to take time off of work to have a rhinoplasty done. We recommend taking a couple of weeks off to heal and recover properly and to prevent any accidental injury to the healing nose.

Dr. Sinha is simply amazing. My son had Rhino surgery in April 2016 and Dr. Sinha was patient friendly AND patient, an effective communicator and active listener. If I could have described the perfect Rhino surgery experience it would have been EXACTLY what we experienced. Kudos to Dr. Sinha, staff, and medical school faculty, etc.!!!

Dr. Sinha performed my rhinoplasty last summer. I noticed a small dent on my nose bridge at my post op. It turns out that this was caused by my glasses. I had not read or followed my post op directions. Dr Sinha still did my revision at no charge. You could see the pride he took in his work. He said he did not want me to have issues with the nose job I had paid for. He is a perfectionist. I would recommend him to anyone.

Got my nose corrected here and service was top notch (septoplasty and partial rhinoplasty). Dr. Sinha simplified the surgery process and explained everything in detail. The pre-op appointments and the follow up appointments were on point as well. I will highly recommend him to anyone, I would go back again in a heartbeat.

Dr. Sinha is an excellent plastic surgeon and I can't say enough good things about him. He has performed my Rhinoplasty. I had a small nose which really looks awkward when I see myself in the mirror and it was also difficult to breath in the cold. I finally said enough is enough and gathered up the courage to fix it. Visiting his clinic was literally one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. Dr. Sinha was very polite and personable throughout the procedure and his office staff was also very accommodative to my needs. Now, my nose looks great! It's almost perfectly straight. I highly recommend Dr. Sinha to anyone who is looking for the Rhinoplasty.
